    He has had a hate hard on about weed for ages. It’s legal in NJ as a viable medical thing and refuses to actually allow enough places to grow the stuff to supply the patients suffering and in need of it to help fight their ailments/pain. I can’t wait until he loses this bid and then is out of NJ for good once his current office term is done with. His ratings are abysmal in his own fucking state at this point.

    I constantly wish Bridgegate came out BEFORE the election. He rode high on the coattails of Sandy and it’s coming out he even fucked up that.

      No excuses. I voted against this asshole twice, happily. There were plenty of reasons not to like him before the Bridge stuff, actually.

      What’s especially rich is that Christie today talked about making a new tunnel under the Hudson, in response to the terrible delays caused by the ones we got now. This is after he canceled a perfectly good tunnel just to boost his conservative bonafides. Fuck this guy.

      As someone who grew up and spent a good part of my adult life on the Jersey shore, he really didn’t do dick to help anyone. Everyone here hates him. He wore a windbreaker and yelled moistly while FEMA, power companies, and everyone from the communities were doing the heavy lifting. The Sandy Relief fund money eventually made it to communities, or some of it did anyway. You know, after the feds had to investigate it. Fuck this guy. I’d take any of the 5 last shady pieces of shit we had over this guy. It’s a serious fucking accomplishment to be the worst governor in Jersey history.

    There is nothing bad about marijuana that is not worse with alcohol.

    Chris Christie has spent thousands of dollars of state money on alcohol purchases.

    He’s just trying to placate donors from the private prison industry.

    Let’s all just enjoy the farce of a man running for president who’ll never be president, and self-seriously intoning in a way that shows a complete misunderstanding of what he represents to 95% of Americans, left and right.

      That’s what I don’t get. I don’t like weed (I hate the smell, and just have no personal interest in consuming it), but I don’t get how it’s worse than alcohol. I think alcohol is probably more dangerous - quitting weed after being addicted (can you even be addicted to marijuana?) to it, probably won’t kill you the way going cold-turkey on alcohol can.
