“I’ve been to Auschwitz three times...I have stood at that oven door”

And yet you don’t know that Jews weren’t marched to the ovens. They were marched to the gas chambers (disguised as showers), then their bodies were taken to the ovens to be cremated.

But don’t let something like reality take away from your cute little soundbites.

That’s because he gives zero fucks about Jews who actually died in the Holocaust. He only cares about using the image for shock value. I’d be surprised if he knew that it wasn’t just Jews, either. It was gays, Polish, Jehova’s Witnesses, gypsies. But you don’t see him talking about how there are maniacs in his own party who would have gay people killed on sight, now, do you?

He’s been to Auschwitz 3 times, maybe on trip #4 he’ll learn something, in between photo ops?

Huckabee is an idiot but Jon Stewart is getting tired. I won’t miss him. It won’t happen but it is time for higher political satire.

    Puts on Hazmat suit.

    Ok, flame away.

Huckabee and Trump - how are these two ever allowed to talk in public? And why?

(also, for fellow Canadians, here’s the link to Comedy Central for the relevant video)

Huckabee is the worst one to me. Trump is either a light weight ego-driven blowhard or he’s playing a cynical long game to get money and attention - I suspect it’s a little of column A and a little of column B.

But Huckabee... Damn his smug face. I don’t think any other republican gets to me the way he does. It’s just the condescension oozing from his stupid mouth, the way he portrays his own beliefs as some corn pone good ol’ boy common sense and anything to the contrary is just ivory tower rubbish that anyone with a the sense the good lord have ‘em can see through.

Aaaaaaaaaargh. As a born and raised Midwesterner, it makes me want to just throw a nonstop gay orgy to raise money for Planned Parenthood outside his window.

I would have never thought that Donald Trump, the reigning King of GOP Stupid Statements, would have anyone seriously challenging him for his crown, but with Huckabee going full Godwin and Rick Perry telling us we should be shooting guns in dark theaters, I think there may be a real contest for the title.

MAY THE STUPIDEST, MOST INSENSITIVE PANDERER WIN!

Stewart is more eloquent than Huckabee without speaking. Well, duh. He’s more elegant and eloquent than the whole 16-man clown car.

So we’re just going to pretend that Stewart hasn’t had Huckabee on his show multiple times in the past, doing totally softball, completely sychophantic interviews with him, helping Huckabee burnish his “cool Republican” image? Yeah, Jon, we get why you couldn’t say anything.

I’ve made this point before. Jon helped create this monster in his own way. He has given Huckabee lots of time on his show to hype his horrid books and on the rare occasion, Jon would offer a slight challenge to Huckabee on some of his political stances. Kinda like the faux-buddy thing he does with Bill O’Reilly.

By and large, Huckabee has a good time on The Daily Show.
