Okay. I’m a lawyer. This guy makes me sad to admit it, especially given the reaction in some of these posts about lawyers in general.

First, this guy Cohen is a shitheel. Not because he’s a lawyer, but because he’s soooo bad at it. It’s been the law since forever that the status of “spouse” is no defense to rape. So, he’s basically wrong.

Second, threatening a reporter is sort of moronic. The press has some strong 1st Amendment protections. This too, has been basic law since forever.

So what is he doing? Well, he’s scared. His position is weak, so he turns up the volume. As the old saying goes...if you have the facts, pound on the facts. If you have the law, pound on the law. If you have neither—pound on the table. This gent is doing that. That’s all. He’s a sad mean little windbag. And Trump could very well be a rapist.

But, sadly, I’m in the grays. Boo. But you’re not going to hear me threaten Gawker and take Denton for his last nickel or something Because I'm a pro.

Any attorney’s out there? Is this (these threats and unbecoming behavior AND TOTAL FUCKING MISUNDERSTANDING OF THE LAW) a disbarable offense cause I really fucking hope that it is. Sadly, I doubt it is.
