Genuine query: In the race to out-absurd/hate each other, are these assholes just guaranteeing the nomination to Bush*? Or are we genuinely believing that one of these hate-mongers is going to secure the nomination?

*Not that Bush isn’t a hateful piece of shit but Jesus H Christ On A Fucking Cracker, the rest of these people look make him look reasonable.

Right? My family are staunch Democrats, which of course means we always vote Republican in the primaries. And last night my brother asked me which of the current candidates I was going to vote for. Normally we pick the most ridiculous, aka Trump. But I just... can’t. For most of them. I physically cannot vote for Huckabee or Trump or Walker. But I can’t vote for Bush because he has a legit chance.

Here’s the part I DO NOT GET. And granted, my understanding is simplistic at best. But what is it with all the Evangelical support for Israel/Israel’s pandering to Evangelicals? From the Evangelical standpoint it’s the site of the upcoming apocalypse/Rapture. In the aftermath of which, no Jews remain. So Israel should remain safe until the timing is right?

Huckabee wants the Rapture to come quicker, folks like him think they’re guaranteed a place in heaven.....you know because Jesus said “Hey if you hate everyone and are a friend to people who molest thier younger sisters, I got a spot for you at my table”. No wait, Jesus never said any of that sick and fuck Huckabee.

They want the Jewish vote, especially in Florida.

They’d never want Jews to move in next door, but they sure want their votes!

Okay, Mike. I’ll bite. What’s your solution? And how many people die in that scenario?

It’s sad that half the country’s worst fear isn’t that our President might fail, but that he might succeed.

He’s a Christian evangelical millenarian — he’s actually rooting for an Israel-oriented nuclear apocalypse, because that’s how Jesus comes back. I’d be more comfortable with a Richard Wayne Gary Wayne presidency.

It’s treasonous when you think about it. You don’t even have to think about it very hard.

The right wants Obama to fail on every initiative against the interest of US citizens.

As someone who has relatives who survived the Holocaust and have dealt with the trauma for pretty much the rest of their lives, I’d (again) ask people not to play the Nazi card as a rhetorical device.

    Also, fuck you Huckabee.

Asked by CNN if he had advice for Huckabee, the rabbi answered, “I would advise that no president of the United States should be compared in any way to Adolf Hitler.”

There’s a lot going on in this sentence.

There is a lot going on, and most of it is pointing squarely at Huckabee making an ass out of himself. Wasserman said today that Huck needs to apologize to all Jews, both here and abroad.

The fact that there are people who are supporting this man’s effort to become president, the same man who supported a pedophile who STUCK HIS FINGERS IN HIS 4 YEAR OLD SISTERS VAGINA, shows just how fucking broken this country is. And i’m sorry if anyone was offended by that language but this needs to be put out there over and over until people get it through their thick fucking skulls. This man is not a good person, he’s not a sweet old guy, he’s a monstrous sack of shit just like his Duggar friends. Fuck him straight to hell.

He doesn’t even have the courage of his convictions.

The former Arkansas governor first voiced his support for the Duggar family on May 22, a day after the first reports that Josh Duggar had molested his sisters.

“Let others run from them,” he posted on Facebook. “We will run to them with our support.”

Since then, Duggar family endorsements have been removed from his campaign website.

      http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/...

And let’s not forget that he is more concerned about parents (specifically, the Obamas) letting their teenagers listen to Beyonce than he is about people (specifically, the Duggars) who did nothing concrete to keep their teenage son from molesting his siblings.

“I don’t understand how, on one hand, they can be such doting parents and so careful about the intake of everything – how much broccoli they eat and where they go to school and making sure they’re kind of sheltered and shielded from so many things – and yet they don’t see anything that might not be suitable for either a preteen or a teen in some of the lyrical content and choreography of Beyoncé, who has sort of a regular key to the door [of the White House],” he said.

In God, Guns, Grits and Gravy, Huckabee labels Beyoncé’s lyrics as “obnoxious and toxic mental poison,” and he lashes out at her husband, Jay Z – calling the rapper a “pimp” who “exploits his wife.”

Where to start? Okay, first, they were not marched to the ovens. Those were for cremating the murdered Jews. Two, until someone is herding people onto trains, shaving their heads, stealing their clothing, taking their children and then gassing them en masse, it is not the Holocaust. It is not even close.

Anyone who persists in the now popular Holocaust references needs to spend at least 4 hours in the Holocaust Memorial Museum every day until they understand the difference between a political disagreement and genocide.

In case the Duggars’ main cheerleader has failed to notice, every country in the Middle East has sworn Israel’s destruction. It is pretty much part of their morning routine: “Good morning. Nice day here in Riyadh. Death to the the Zionist Stain and the Jews. Death to America. Have a great day.”

Oh, one last point, Huckster. Your sad religion and its slavish devotion to the invisible man in the sky and his illegitimate kid has killed more and been responsible for more death than any other force in human history. And you can count the actual Holocaust in your “Chrisitan Driven Death Count.” Your hero Adolph used your religion as the launching pad for his actual effort at genocide.

I really wish we still had stocks in the public square for asshats like this self-righteous, bible thumping, child-molester loving, lying, racist piece of work. Just for a few hours a day, so this piece of human failure would have to listen to people tell him what a horrible person he is.

I’m not sure which is worse - that Huckabee probably knows this but went with the statement anyway (even though there’s just as much shock value as saying “Obama is marching Israel towards the doors of the gas chamber”, or that so many people don’t realize that Jews weren’t marched to ovens because they barely know anything about the Holocaust.

What’s really repulsive is that conservative Christians like Mike Huckabee would be ecstatic if Israel were to be destroyed by Iranian nuclear bombs. Huckabee supports Israel only as far as it takes for them to be killed as part of Jesus’ Second Coming.

Eh. I think that might be true of some of the less pragmatic ones maybe but I do think there are quite a few like him who support Israel because in many ways they’re a satellite for the sort of foreign policy some of these numbskulls would adopt.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Huckabee is probably a dispensationalist and was a big fan of Jerry Falwell, who thought that the Anti-Christ was a male Jew currently living somewhere in the world.
