    The number of idiots I’ve seen on friends-of-friends’ FB pages who are taking this 100% at face value is incredibly depressing. I mean, there are people who are genuinely scared and talking about how “Satan is winning” and whether they should be making plans to move into bunkers.

    I know the politically intelligent minority of Americans understand this to be making a point about SoC&S, but holy shit does middle America lose its fucking mind over stuff like this. It’s basically taking all the supernatural nonsense they’re taught in bible class and showing them “Oh Lord, it was all true, all along! Satan is coming!” The larger point is entirely lost on them.

      Facebook ,ironically, has been a great filter for bigots and other kinds of idiots within your circle of friends and even family. I’ve chucked deuces to several folks after reading the shit they share with everyone. I’m not gonna suffer them any longer and I thank Facebook for outing their true nature.

      I am a member of the Temple. I can’t speak for everyone else who is, but I know what it means for me. There are seven main tenets, which I agree with. I do not believe in a literal Satan, but embrace Satan as a symbol of rebellion against ridiculous and tyrannical thinking.

      I don’t know if that makes me “for real” or “a troll,” but I’m glad the Temple is there for people like me.

      I’m from metro Detroit and went to a Lutheran high school. People on my Facebook are legitimately losing their minds over this. I’m pretty sure they’re convinced satan is about to jump out the statue.

      Also, if you've been to Detroit anytime in the last 10 years you know satan wouldn't hang out in that shithole. He tends to prefer to stay in Trump hotels anything else is beneath him.
