      NBC-U is using this as a way to announce what anyone who knows campaign law already knows: They had to remove him from The Apprentice because if they gave him an hour a week, they’d have to give every other registered candidate an hour a week. So there’s that.

      Kudos to them for dropping the beauty pageants, but, honestly, “At NBC, respect and dignity for all people are cornerstones of our values.” is less the reason than “At NBC we market polled this thing for the last 2 weeks and realized no one’s going to watch.”

        He will no longer be a candidate by the time the show starts. That’s a sure thing — and it might have been the plan all along. One way or another, before he is asked to show his books, what he paid in taxes or has to answer a real question on almost anything that matters... he will be history.

      Seriously, if that doesn’t tell you all need to know about the republican presidential candidates and their electorate, then I don’t know what does. One of their candidates just got fired from his day job in corporate America because he made a speech—a speech intended to appeal to the republican base—that was so awful some amoral American business was like, “Fuck that. Fuck this guy. He’s horrible.”
