    I guess no one working in business today goes to business school.     Can someone explain “Sloane” to me? I met one person named Sloane at hugely self-aggrandizing somewhat prestigious heavily greek state school. She usually wore cowboy boots and sundresses and she never acknowledged me outside of class, despite the obvious chemistry we shared during French conversation exercises.

    We once got a copy of a Vineyard Vines catalog by mistake in the mail. Instead of returning to the post office for proper delivery, Dear Husband and I had a great time making fun of the badly cut, overpriced cotton clothing with little nautical emblems embroidered all over it.

    How Vineyard Vines stays in business is beyond me. It must have something to do with rich insular preppy culture, because their clothes are beyond fugly.

    Though... My college roommate’s parents used to wear similar crap, but I think their supplier of choice was LL Bean.
