“Fuck you, Mrs. Mosby,” one gang member said in the courtroom after his guilty verdict earlier this year. “I just smiled,” Mosby recalls.

You know you’re a bad bitch when even people who are trying to insult you do so with a title of respect.

You know you’re an idiot when you refer to somebody you supposedly respect as a “bitch”

I mean, one advocated for justice, the other: leather sweat pants.

I interpreted that to mean that Kanye had to beg them to profile Mosby, and I was impressed by him for a second. I guess I was wrong :-(

I was at the Prince show, and after the concert ended, Mosby and her husband walked across the stage, shaking hands with everyone. (Her husband got her the tickets as a surprise for Mothers’ Day because she’s a huge Prince fan.) The only time Questlove got up from the chair he’d been sitting in throughout the entire set was to stand up and shake her hand.

The same state’s attorney Mosby who ordered police to “crack down” on the W. Baltimore corner where Freddie Gray was harassed! WHAT A ROLE MODEL!

According to defense attorneys, she asked police to heighten vigilance in the area as a result of community complaints about heavy drug activity. I’m not sure why that’s problematic, if it’s true.

I think it’s okay when there’s a police presence. As long as no one’s rights are violated, and no one ends up dead in their custody. Protecting and serving poor communities does not necessarily mean harassing them. That may be what we’ve come to expect from the police, but as long as we remind them what they’re actually pledged to do, protecting and serving is what we should expect.

I really like this woman, but I think I’ve been brainwashed by The Wire because I keep thinking “please don’t let her be corrupt, please don’t let her be corrupt”

Corrupt, I have no way of knowing. She and her husband (City Councilman Nick Mosby, who had a higher profile than his wife before Mrs. Mosby was elected to this office last year) both seek higher office, that’s a kind of corruption. For now, I have no complaints about either of them.
