  in the uk legal age is 16 so consensual sex can and regularly does occur between 16 and 19 yos. The problem is coercing the young woman into a sex act she declined regardless of the acts that precluded it. The fact that she can say “I’m uncomfortable, I don’t want, I don’t think I can” and he basically is just jerking off in her face regardless AND FILMING IT is indicative of assault and rape culture and a whole host of other things. why is it so hard? regardless of what u did before dude or whether she took off your pants or whether you had full freaking sex the moment she says hey I’m uncomfortable let’s stop PUT YOUR GODDAMN DICK DOWN

  But there is a reason why consent laws exist. A lot of teens are not ready for sex, even if others are. This girl clearly wasn’t ready. Doesn’t matter if her bf is 19, or even 16 too. It’s easy to make a young person think they want to do something, or manipulate them into doing it: they don’t know how to say no or walk away. Consent laws protect kids for this very reason. They still don’t know what to do when they’re being pressured into doing something they don’t want to do. Proximity in age doesn’t change that. And 16 is not that mature.
