Help because I have just become attacked by a brutal punching boy. He came at me with his African fists while I was fully inside of motherhood in shopping way. Defend my face, please, if you can. The punching boy and his African fists will not stop, resulting in my facial bruise patterns, of which I have proven with this photo. Please. I am just trying to fill my kids with God and health snacks from the aisles of heaven. We need to stop the punching boy. Oh, heavens, may my bruising never stop? Pray.

I hate when people say, “what has the world come to?” as if bad things haven’t happened forever.

The words “Texarcana Walmart” are so heavy with dread. Like, at least even in my worst moments in life, I’ll never find myself in the Walmart of Texarcana.

Having once driven through Texarcana on a dark, stormy day, I had a similar thought. This was years & years ago and I was a child but even then I knew. Nothing good can happen here.

      Texas + Arkansas + Louisiana = Texarkana
That’s not a joke, that’s where the name of the town came from, because it’s located (roughly) where all three states’ borders meet.

It takes nothing to convince people that a black person did something wrong.

What a fucked up truth that is for most people. Growing up in California and living in Washington, one forgets that the coast tends to be far more racially evolved. I really do honestly forget some people are this fucking awful.

As a PoC, I am tried of reading this

“We were informed that she is emotionally disturbed and that they are attempting to get her the assistance that she needs. We have removed the post to avoid contributing to her difficult struggle.”

White people do something stupid, it is an undocumented mental health issue. Black people do something stupid (with a recorded mental health issue), they get murdered by the cops. Fuck off already

Not just that. There have been instances of black people who also manufactured issues of alleged racism (letters, fake graffiti). It happens. But I’ve NEVER heard that followup applied to them. NEVER heard they are emotionally disturbed and getting help. Merely fined/locked up.etc/

It would have been more believable if she said that they held her down and gave her that bad haircut.

I saw a few people post it and a few “TCOT’s” posting it just immediately without even bothering to examine whether it’s real or not.

Let’s not even get into the sheer biology of it: black eyes just don’t pop up immediately after trauma.

But hey. If you’re an expert on Hanna Barbara level cartoon injuries, it looks EXACTLY what you’d expect.

Well, only if they didn’t attack her with a frying pan. Of course, it’s quite possible that they did, and she just shook her head back and forth really fast at some point before taking that picture.

Legit question - the whole “lower their voices” thing is racially coded somehow, right? Like o”h black people are always loud” shit? When I bought my house in a predominantly black neighborhood of Philly I had several people hear where exactly it is and say “I hear it’s very loud over there” which (shocker, I know) it really isn’t so it was very strange. It’s not something I’d heard before but that shit has to be coded, right?

Yes. Like how in Dumbo, the crows always kind of scream-talked and laughed. Unless they was a-singin.

I can’t remember ever actually seeing that movie. I must have (based on my age) but don’t really remember it at all. And I’m not really eager to watch that kind of bullshit so thank you for saving me from it.
