      Oh, but wait! They’re environmentally friendly, so there!

      So, I’m really torn with Stella McCartney. On one hand, I really like her approach to making clothes. She’s very committed to environmentally-friendly processes, and really the only one working at such a high level in the industry doing it. You can find her interview here. I’ve been to her Soho store, and it gives me pure joy.

      But then she pulls vapid shit like this, and I wonder if she just has all these social justice blind spots.

    As a cuban who lived in communist Cuba and has a political refugee father and grandparents who were political prisoners I find this highly offensive. This is just as offensive as having a hitler impersonator. Someone should drop her off in Havana and have her live off of the rations they give regular Cubans there and see how funny she finds it .
