I just want to point out that in preparing a Facebook post to promote this story, our social media dashboard predicted that the more mentions of Santorum’s name appeared in the post text, the worse it would perform:

Without Santorum’s name in the post text:

    And with:

So basically he has a better chance at winning if he doesn’t run.

Do you imagine in some shitty hotel room right now, there’s a campaign operative with a phone book furiously going through and figuring out where each individual person stands.

“Okay, we got Steve, but Jenny is being a total bitch and won’t come to our rally. Screw it, we’ll send Margaret that gift basket instead!”

Adam... Check out the piece on CNN about how Baltimore PD feels betrayed and are worried they might be held accountable if they keep killing unarmed civilians.

Sorry... Totally unrelated to your article...

You’d probably have an easier time getting one of the writers to notice something if you mail it to the tip line email which they remind us to do about 45 times each day.

Yea, I thought about it. Wasn’t sure “CNN posted hilariously stupid article about how cops feel betrayed bc citizenry is opposed to excessive use of force” constituted a legitimate tip.

Dear Rick, or campaign staffer - I hope one of you sees Gawker’s article and perchance reads the comments...because I am reaching out directly to you...

Rick, you will never be president. You will never occupy the oval office.

You will fail, you will lose, you will not be elected.

You will never fly aboard Air Force One - you will never give a SOTU address. You will never represent our nation abroad or be Commander in Chief. You’ll never receive a salute from any American soldier, like the man you BOOd at your last Fox GOP debate in 2012.

You will never make or set policy or have any influence of import. You will never have a Presidential Library and certainly not a legacy that goes with it.

Why is all of the above true?

Because you, Mr. Santorum, are a born loser.

There’s no way he doesn’t know this. But running for president has become a lucrative sideline for many of these people, and one good campaign cycle, requiring about 10 - 12 months, can bring them enough dirty hidden money to keep them in pearls for years (or, in Santorum’s case, anal beads). All it takes is one batshit billionaire sugar daddy - in Santorum’s case, Foster Friess, and Rick won’t have to work a day ever again (until 2019; lather, rinse, repeat...).

fair enough, but another purpose of my message above was to save it for history, assuming every little interweb message becomes immortal in some way, perhaps in 20, 50, maybe 100 years someone will run across it and perceive how Santorum was viewed right now.

With any luck, maybe one of his kids will read it when they are looking through articles about their evil, horrible father.

This is some goddamn BIASED, LIEbral writing, ADAM. I will not stand for it.

Just because I want to eat a goddamn fully fried meal does not make me a middle age man saying “fuck it.”

It makes me a twenty six year old man saying “fuck it.”

      THIS.

Except Adam never mentions what kind of tenderloin it is. I mean, fried beef tenderloin is...ok, I guess, but fried castrated-by-Joni-Ernst-pork tenderloin is heaven. And if the onion rings are made just the right way?

The sound you are hearing is my arteries clogging up out of sheer joy.

We live in a time when this man has actually won a republican primary in a state. One of the fifty states said “of the options to represent the United States of America as Chief Executive, we have selected Rick Motherfucking Santorum as the man to replace Barack Obama” in 2012.

      Meditate upon this.

At this point the RNC needs to just hire a person to follow behind him with a trombone going "Whah Whaaaaaaaaah" all the time.
