    Are there really “no more closed doors”? I watch the news and of course I read Jez/Gawker but I’m long past my academic years and long out of my professional career. All of my female contemporaries are well established in their careers and I’m not around younger women much. So for all practical purposes I have limited information. My instinct would tell me that there are still plenty of closed doors. Any anecdotal evidence in support of/against her statement?

      I really hate this idea. I’ve talked to women of Ginsburg’s generation who essentially say the same thing and imply that feminism’s fight has been won. I get that there have been massive strides in the past 40 years, but there are plenty of doors that still need busting down and it’s pretty problematic to pretend that we’re on an equal playing field with men at this point.
