Man, some people take their Sons of Anarchy way too seriously.

It’s worth it to fight and die for Peg Bundy:

We would have also accepted “Gun battle occurs amongst members of a formerly polite society.”

What fascinates me about biker gangs is that the early ones were heavily influenced by the Brando movie, “The Wild Ones,” which was based on a biker riot that never happened. Life magazine ran this staged photo that supposedly happened in the thick of the Hollister Riot. The truth was that only a few drunks raced in the streets and a bored reporter made up a story about chaos and mayhem.

I wish the media would stop referring to it as a “melee” and/or “brawl.” We all know it was a RIOT! It was a riot with a higher fatality count than any of the other so-called "riots," we've seen this year.

Nah, not really a riot. It was a fight between rival gangs and the cops.

Of all the false equivalencies you could have gone for, you chose that one?

Sons Of Anarchy is my guilty pleasure show. Reading Gawker is my guilty pleasure on the internet. I’m so guilty right now I might get arrested with these guys too.

I have a feeling the Mayans were behind this.

DK has a take on this which has an apt comparison pointing out the ridiculousness of it all — one that many seem to be missing.

            .

“...why do the five men above look like they are waiting for food to be brought to them at a picnic? Smoking cigarettes, others using their cell phones, nobody in the world could guess that these men were even associated with such a horrible crime...”

“...when one of the deadliest, bloodiest, most violent rampages in modern America happened, the National Guard wasn’t called in, the perpetrators weren’t beaten or pepper-sprayed, nobody was hogtied or humiliated, the dogs weren’t brought out to intimidate anyone. Hell, they didn’t even handcuff them or take their phones away. Instead, they just sat them down on the sidewalk peacefully...”
