Not to make light of sexual assault, but what the hell is up with teen boys and being apparently sex-magnets for attractive older women? Where did they get this unholy amount of game from? Is it all the Axe products they slather themselves in? Are those Axe commercials where women literally hunt you down for the express purpose of boning you actually, factually true?

Follow up question: why is there an apparent epidemic of female pedophiles in our nations schools all of a sudden?

  Based on local news, it’s prevalent, though it’s less likely to be “an affair” and more likely “groping / solicitation” for men.
  
  I think it’s a cultural change and an increased awareness or reportability by the media. In HS, we all knew of “that teacher” who was sleeping with a student, but it was just gossip and no one really batted an eye (he ended up marrying her when she graduated). Several of our teachers were married to former students; was the same for college professors, too. I think it's looked at as far more unacceptable now than 10-20 years ago.

  I think we’re just hearing about it because we’ve finally, as a society, started to see this for what it is: rape. Before it was like “lols dude bangs his teacher luckiest guy ever *fist bump*” so it didn’t make news like this. On the other hand, we’ve pretty much always recognized the issues between an older man and a younger woman.
