    None of these are ganglike tactics, really. “Hey man, you mess with the Crips, and we ignore your due process rights, motherfucker! Like, substantive and procedural due process, Holmes*!”

    * The Crips like to sneak in Supreme Court history puns. Their erudition is really what separates them from common street thugs.

    isn’t it ironic that the cops’ lawyers call the witnesses to the cases unreliable because they’re drug suspects, but cops often insist that their crack-addicted Confidential Informants are reliable witnesses, reliable enough to convict someone on murder and sentence them to death?

      I thought it was a nice touch that he called Walker a "disgraced former officer". The reason he's "disgraced" and a "former officer" is because he actually told the truth about the illegal activities of his unit.

      Tough case for a prosecutor to win. Testimony is a weak form of evidence. One set of testimony rebutted the other set of testimony. Fuck the cops who said they saw nothing untowards. I don’t believe you.
