This is the “cartoonish” thumbs-up image she’s referring to:

but uhh...she was indifferent - it just happened to work out, since the victim was more than likely fabricating the story.

On what basis are you saying that?

How do we know any of that? From the tainted reporting?

I wish her luck, but Dean Eramo should be aware that my suit against Rolling Stone for bogusly excluding Fast Eddie Clarke and Buckethead from their list of “The 50 Greatest Guitar Players” got nowhere on the federal docket.

I’m down with this. If you’re going to go the ever-so-popular “why write a story when you can just sharpen your hatchet” route, expect consequences to naturally follow.

Thanks Rolling Stone for setting back the anti-rape movement by about 20 years. Thanks to your shitty attempts to cash in on an actual movement for equality, every woman in America who has been raped has to work that much harder to be heard. And men can rape with even more confidence, especially in frats, because of you. And a special thanks to you Sabrina, for being so complicit. You’ve put countless women at risk. Congratulations.

Jann should get out his checkbook. I would guess that “reckless disregard for the truth” applies here.

When Eramo says that Rolling Stone portrayed her as the chief villain, she means that quite literally. The original article’s accompanying graphic was a photograph of Eramo, but tampered with and darkened to make her appear like a demon.

The major takeaway from this whole affair is that journalists need to investigate their stories properly. The takeaway should NOT be that alleged rape victims should be looked at with increased suspicion.

Good. Teach them what happens when you make up a story and ruin someones life.
