      I’m with the previous commenter on this. Rob Ford is not “actually a real good dude”. He’s not even a good dude. But I do wish him a speedy recovery and an in remission verdict, once the pathology report comes in. He’s got two young kids who probably want nothing more in this life than for their dad to be okay.

      I mean, I am searching his Wikipedia article for some sign of him being a good dude. I guess he called a reporter back about a pothole, so that’s something? On balance I think the article does not paint a flattering portrait.

      But whatever, the guy just got out of cancer surgery. I’m OK with giving him some privacy now, by which I mean, having his role as a public official be a thing of the past.

          Actually, a bypass would not need to be a ten hour surgery and his type of cancer is extremely aggressive. I hope he survives.

          This type of cancer sounds really bad. To be honest, as a physician, my memory is that the mortality is likely high over the next five yrs. I hope I’m wrong. He is not an exemplary fellow but he is no Darth Cheney. I wish him the best.
