      As much as I detest American Adjunct Lagers I can see their appeal: They’re cheap to mass-produce, they’re the earliest beer that most drinkers ever tasted (hence the nostalgia), and a drinker can polish off a six-pack while watching a game without passing out.

      Also doing yard/garden/farm/mechanical/building work outside in the summer. I won’t *buy* it, but when offered those are the only times I’ll accept. Basically a half step up from water.

      Buzzfeed provided the best coverage of the Bud Light fiasco. In an effort to follow their editorial guidelines to the letter in the sense of NO PERSONAL OPINIONS ALLOWED, especially if they risk offending a current or potential advertiser, they wrote the most inane headline possible “People are saying Bud Light’s new tagline promotes rape culture”. It barely missed the asterix at the end with the disclaimer “people are saying this but not us! we do not have an opinion either way!”.

        Last time I drank Budweiser was when I was 15 or so, and I remember that it smelled pretty much the same going out as it tasted coming in. I don’t think I can name another beer as offensively bad.

        I was so glad to discover that not all American beer is like that.
