    Oh, man. As destructive and painful as his harassment and abuse no doubt was to experience...

    ...I would still a thousand times rather be her in this exchange than spend one moment in his sad, fecal spattered mind. What an unseemly house of mirrors mental prison that must be, to be able to see the world in the contemptible, poisonous, emotionally unhinged way in which he clearly views it. He has the emotional control and sense of entitlement of an unusually narcissistic toddler.

    If he views their relationship as a competition (from some passages, it seems he does) she won from her first breath, just simply by not being him. And Lordy, do I feel for his daughter, to know that she in part owes her existence to a hateful cretin such as this... Most dads settle for socks and sandals for humiliating their children in their teen years.

      I have an ex who talked to me like that when I dared to question how he treated me. Emotional abuse has a way of sneaking up on you and then controlling you in ways you don’t even realize. I’m glad JD told this psycho to fuck off and that he got disbarred. I hope she is okay, though.

    Ughhhh this brings back too many memories for me. My college boyfriend did not take our break up well (to put it lightly). He stalked me on and off campus, broke into my apartment, harassed me and my parents (showed up at MY DAD’s WORK). And I never let them get a restraining order because I was afraid of ruining *his* life. Instead, he actively tried to ruin mine. It kills me how scared we are of hurting someone who is so aggressively trying to hurt us, because we either a) feel guilty b) are afraid of private photos/videos being released c) have been so psychologically and emotionally abused that we don’t have th strength. It’s easier to just change numbers/move.

    I hope JD finds peace and life away from this monster.

      Yeah, I read the entire order, and apparently she had a criminal case against him, but it was dismissed without prejudice because she had “personal privacy concerns.” I wish so much that we could take the embarrassment out of being the victim (and I don’t mean that in a loaded sense, just that, you are, technically, the victim of a crime in these situations).

      This is a terrible story and I don’t recommend following this course of action, but it’s also hilarious so I’ll share.

      I have a friend who broke up with her boyfriend, and he tried this stuff. He would call her and say, ‘If you don’t call me back today, I will kill myself.’ Concerned, she called him back. After a few minutes she was very sure he was not in fact suicidal. She said, “So you’re gonna kill yourself? How are you going to do it?” He replied that he had a gun. She was very sure that he did not I fact have a gun, so she said, “Oh yeah, put it up to your head then. Okay got it? Now pull the trigger and let me hear the bang.”

      And which point he said, “Fuck you you crazy bitch” hung up the phone and never contacted her again.

    Oh god this brought back awful memories for me. An ex who was CONVINCED I loved him but was confused and needed his constant reminder. His emails and voicemails were almost identical to this psycho. It’s creepy AF how similar these crazies act when someone doesn’t want to be with them anymore.

    I recall saying to my ex “You scare me! Okay? I’m genuinely SCARED. Is that what you wanted?” To which he replied.. “If being scared gets you back together with me than it’s not the worst emotion to feel.” Whaaaa ??

    The amount of crazy.. I just can’t even..

      A high school creep I knew started his “conquest” by writing love songs about us being soul mates and making love. Lines like “you know you love me.” I legit did not even know his fucking name. I rejected him asap, because he constantly embarrassed me in front of everybody singing to me with his guitar. He didn’t handle it well, so he changed schools. Then he’d show up at the parking lot after school taking pictures of me from far away. He and his idiot friends.

      Nothing happened, thankfully. Then years later he sees me at a store and walks by and shows me his new gf, my fucking doppleganger. I still cringe at that weird guy.
