    I want to see this manhole. Because those things are typically owned and maintained by utilities or local municipalities, not tire shops and property owners.

    You see! Hysterical, overly sensitive woman whose equally emotional female friend can’t drive a damn car, so she has to get out, and lacking any sort of spatial awareness, falls right into a goddamn manhole. If only Grandmaster Chess Champion was there to guide her.

      This reminds me of a story my abnormal psych professor told in college about a patient, an agoraphobic woman who lived in an apartment and hadn’t left for years. They were very slowly working on helping her, getting her first to stand in her doorway, then out in the hall, then to the end of the hall, then down the stairs, etc, very slowly, day by day.

      One day she finally makes it outside, and makes it out to the end of the path to the sidewalk. Meanwhile, the kids in the neighborhood, who being kids and living next to an older disheveled looking woman who never left her house, had built up this whole mythology around her that she was a scary witch. So on a dare, her first day off the property, she was standing there and some kids came up and chopped off her super long braid of hair and ran off with it screaming.

      I asked this on the other article about this too...but why in the world would she move the wooden pallet? It was obviously there for a reason.

      When I was a legal assistant, one of my clients was kind of on the verge of being agoraphobic. She had a lot of anxiety issues, and rarely left her home. But she was working on it - he doctors had gotten her to the point where she actually drove herself to the mall one day...where a door promptly fell on her.
