In other news the Mayor is calling for the MBTA board to resign and there is a truck hanging over train tracks which stopped both the subway and the commuter rail from running.

We live in America's future over here.

I'm sick of the MBTA management scapegoating. The issues with the MBTA are mostly about rapidly deteriorating infrastructure that should have been improved twenty years ago but has never been funded. Management may or may not suck but there was nothing they could have done to make this winter better.

Well, the morning commute was totally fucked up because they apparently don't have a contingency plan for what happens if a rail line has to close temporarily. You are supposed to prepare for things to go wrong, because they do. The T doesn't plan for anything.

I absolutely see 5 people being interviewed, the last two get a shit eating grin and stare right at their friends and say yes they support it.

He docked imperfectly and failed to listen when they told him not to open the air lock.

Most people I see complaining about the potential of the games are people who are like "But the T can't handle all those people, look what happened this winter, what if that happens?" And when I remind them we are considering the SUMMER games, prior to the arrival of college students for the school year, they kinda fiddle around looking for a reason to be against the games. No one ever mentions the potential for white elephant infrastructure that will go unused, the inflated cost of putting on the games thanks to the IOC mandated graft, or the anything like that. They mention the fucking MBTA and having their commute possibly impacted. I love Boston, I have lived here for over 24 years but goddamn are people provincial as fuck.

Conspiracy-minded me sees that the polling company's board of directors had a lot of people who could stand to benefit from the Olympics coming to Boston. But I'm probably way off...

Hosting the Olympics is a huge money suck. No thanks.
