Smarter than Rubio, that's for sure. You can train them to take pictures! I have never seen Marco Rubio successfully use a camera.

"Deep bench" — is that some new Republican euphemism I missed, like "Wide Stance"?

Well, one could reason that one needs to adopt a wide stance whist sitting atop a deep bench.

I am more likely to vote for an actual carnivorous cranberry jelly than anyone on the current Republican ticket. That being said, I wouldn't mind another viable candidate on the DNC ticket.

You haven't caught Jim Webb Fever?

Agreed, I'd prefer the primary to not just be a coronation. I'll happily vote for Hillary over anyone that the RNC has to offer, but I wouldn't mind a choice when I hit the polls in March.

I suppose I should relish it but now it's just sad. Republican's are in serious denial that on the national level they have no chance in hell. This is going to be 2012 election Karl Rove meltdown on Fox News bad.

The fact that Hillary Clinton is the Democratic nominee speaks to the stupidity of the Democratic party, why not nominate an actual liberal?

Furthermore I think you are underestimating the stupidity of the American people. Republican party will somehow convince Latinos that they were for immigration reform before Obama & the evil Democrats killed it. They will convince the rest of the country that the social safety net and programs to help the poor are what's wrong with the country, that the rich need more tax cuts, that we need another war.

You are giving us (American people) to much credit, we are inherently stupid.

I honestly don't know if a true liberal can win. Not because their views would be so far from mainstream — they aren't. But because so many leftwing liberals don't actually show up at the polls, esp. for the primaries.

Democrats have only themselves to blame for a lot of the party's problems. And the corporate media for the rest of them.

Will the American people look at them in 2016 and see dynamism and excitement and youth and actual ideas and serious debate?

        No.

          From her blog:

Hillary Clinton’s announcement followed by her dark-windowed SUV journey into deepest darkest America was the most inept, phony, shallow, slickily-slick and meaningless launch of a presidential candidacy I have ever seen.

I've never heard Iowa described that way.

Slickily slick? She even slurs her words in print. That's boxed wine composition right there.

Will it look like that’s where the lightning’s striking and the words have meaning?

Might want to give this one a reread after the white wine-Ambien cocktail's worn off, Maggie.
