Unrelated to spelling or theatre of the absurd; do you actually have to click through to Soundcloud to adjust the volume? That is weird.

Do you think that's the correct spelling of that word? It's spelled THEATER. Speak English, moran.

He stayed on the phone about a minute and thirty seconds too long. Telemarketers must have a field day with this poor, codependent, overly nice man! " I have to go, okay?" Just GO already, do not ask permission.

And yes, you can help rooting for the woman. She is not rootable.

She's like an iPhone. Or Chrome OS. Or something—I'm trying to make a tech joke, damnit.

If you were a writer for buzzfeed, you'd apparently spell this "routable."

      Sadly, I am not joking.

The correct spelling is obviously "their", but shouldn't it more accurately read "his or her place at the table" or "their places at the table"? Or is her stupidity catching and I'm infected?

It depends on if the article is referring to multiple places at the table or not. It could also be a catch all for "his" or "her," with "their" being ambiguous but still referring to a singular place at said table. Or, if it's referring to a conference of organizations, and there is a representative being sent to that conference to represent the organization, that can be "their" spot at the table since a representative that is at bat for an organization only has one spot at the collective table.

So, the answer to your question is a definite maybe. It depends on the context.

Because it's a post about corrections, it might not be too far out of line to point out to the fellow around the four minute mark that the first result isn't "Google Dictionary" but "Urban Dictionary", which is a crowdsourced site that takes an irreverent tone.

I once confused Urban Dictionary with Google Translate, and I woke up in a Tijuana carwash with a man named Sanchez.

I have literally been in a Tijuana carwash with a guy named Sanchez. Not internet literally; literally literally. Five dollars for the best wash n' wax I've ever had, plus I got a coconut full of spiced shrimp while I waited.

Are you fucking kidding me? Root for her? No. She is one of those people that my parents told me to stop staring at when I was a child. To quote Bertrand Russell: "The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt."

Right? When you're deep into an argument and realize you're wrong, sometimes it's just more satisfying to say, 'fuck it, I'm just going to go for the gold!'

I am rubbing my little hands together waiting for the obvious prissy comment about the headline from someone who hasn't read the article. And for once it's nice being in the greys, because it means that the person who writes the obvious prissy comment won't have read this. Ha.
