    Whatever. Suits are only business attire because that's what people decided are business attire and no one should have to wear one ever. Just as much can be done if everyone were in t-shirts, but for some reason it's uncouth so we need more amounts of restrictive fabric everywhere, including an extra frill around our necks.

    Happened to me once. Showed up at an office event with visiting leadership and I thought it was business casual. Everyone was suited up to the max and I was there with a delightfully colored ugly sweater (being the lazy ass I am I had run out of clean clothes and was close to the holidays). Never been more embarrassed in my life as everyone was giving me snide glances. For once I hated the attention. So Lance, I feel your pain.
