Kelly Clarkson and I have very similar body types. Like her, my weight has fluctuated over the past 5 years and I’m currently the heaviest I’ve ever been. It has really been a struggle for me to feel comfortable in my own skin but Kelly’s confidence and body positivity have inspired me to be more accepting of myself. She is the best.

      I love this quote:

“Sometimes I’m more fit and I get into kickboxing hardcore. And then sometimes I don’t and I’m like, ‘I’d rather have wine.’”

Also, when she said something along the lines of “I love how people think that this is something new- welcome to the last 13 years,”

My first thought was- said every woman who's ever received a body-negative comment.

Game of Thrones’ Iwon Rheon says Ramsay Bolton is “Dennis the Menace crossed with the Joker from Batman.”

i can’t even watch his scenes because my body and brain are so confused and so conflicted and so aroused.

as an unrelated sidenote: guys, come get me when the Outlander recap is posted because my oh my do i have some THOUGHTS

Yeah, when Roose finally acknowledged Ramsay as his son, I was all like, “Yes! Go Ramsay! Your daddy loves you! Oh wait, fuck. No. NO! But yay! You’re hot! OH GOD WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE NORTH? Run, Bran, run! Mmmmmm Ramsay.”

    • President Barack Obama was the only celebrity smart enough to turn down a cameo in the Entourage movie and now I’m suddenly feeling patriotic. [TMZ]

That would have been the first time i was truly disappointed in our country. Thank you, President Obama, for making me believe in America again.

I need a list of every man who willingly goes to see this movie so I know to never, ever sleep with those basic ass basics.

      I’m doing this for America.

I will say that blond does not suit her at all. She looks like an alien there.

Because your future self is yelling back at you to not do it because it looks SO DUMB when growing out. It looks super cute when shaved but imagine that part of your head when it’s like 2-3 inches long once you’ve gotten sick of it.

I mean, let be real. I too, would be worried if my hubby was looking at Helen Mirren like that. She is one fierce woman.

I wouldn’t be, because I would be doing the same thing. She’s pretty excellent. (I swear to fucking god, if someone comes over here telling me she’s actually a terrible person, I will lose it. I cannot handle another person I like/respect turning out to be a shit.)

Re: the Jessica Simpson’s (alleged) abuse of Adderall-

She gained weight because she got pregnant, though even before that people were calling her a heifer. People got outraged at her being fat, because fat = lazy and bad, so she dropped the weight fast.

Now, OH NO! She’s too skinny. She used drugs to help her lose weight! We’re so concerned!

Seriously, GFY. Our society is sick.

ETA- the Kelly Clarkson story up top is similar in some ways. Hopefully Kelly will be able to withstand pressure to drastically diet. I think her case is different because her career never depended on her being sexy, whereas Jessica’s did.

Jessica got started at the same time as very athletic Britney and tiny framed Christina she was on diet bars and protein shakes trying to compete with them. I’m not sure she has been her natural weight since she got in the public eye.

Well, in fairness, if people stopped trying to make women feel bad about their bodies for five minutes apparently the world would end or something. Can’t take that risk.

This recent interview with Jessica Simpson is supposed to be evidence that she is on something, apparently Adderall and booze and endorphins from working out too much. Whaddya think?

I don’t know about Chris Wallace, but I heard Mike Gallagher on the Mark Davis Show this morning, and he sounded legitimately apologetic. Like, it was not even close to a “sorry I got caught,” but an actual realization that words matter and people have real feelings. It was kind of impressive, honestly.
