Ok, guns-rights and concealed carry afficianados: if you insist on being fucking armed to the teeth everywhere you go in all situations, can you please fucking invest in decent holsters for your guns and learn how to properly holster those motherfuckers when not actively using them? For fuck's sake...

I wouldn't characterize one handgun as being armed to the teeth. That being said, your remarks on using a proper holster and not playing with it? Spot on.

I suppose if anything my comment was aimed more at that subset of gun owners that think that its not only their right to carry guns in any and all situations but supremely reasonable to as well. Going out for frozen yogurt? Better bring a gun. Going to walmart? Better bring a gun. PTA meeting? You bet your ass you need to be packing. I mean, if you think that the world is such a festering shit pile and that the threat of extreme violence is so high that the need to be armed with a gun in most day to day situations is reasonable and sane, then go ahead. But you don't get that AND to expect everyone to not think you're* paranoid as fuck.

*BTW, I'm using the generalized version of you/your/you're. Not directed at you specifically PeteRR

Modern handguns won't fire when they hit the ground. The big dummy undoubtedly tried catching it as it fell and hooked the trigger with his finger.

Rule # 5 of gun handling: Never try to catch a falling gun.

The cat obviously orchestrated the whole thing.

This is almost certainly true. Then again, if a cat can outwit you into shooting yourself in the head with your own gun ....

One can never be too safe/freedomey while interacting with a cat though.

I really wanted a second amendment man for this one... It's just such low hanging fruit I almost can't resist.

A gun in the home is 22 times more likely to be used to kill or injure in a domestic homicide, suicide, or unintentional shooting than to be used in self-defense.

You are safer without guns, everyone.

Isn't that the same logic that if I have a pet tiger at my home, my chances of being killed by a tiger skyrocket compared to those who don't?
