    I got attacked by bees once. It's fucking horrible.

    They come at your from all directions and once you escape, you have to pull the little fuckers off you individually.

    And you catch all this shit from your girlfriend for choosing a short cut through the woods when she wanted to stick to the trail.

    Your basic nightmare scenario.

    They probably were not bees. The only bees that live in the ground are solitary. These were hornets or wasps, not the honey bees in your illustration.

      I was just reading a couple of versions of this story. I didn't realize that they have Africanized bees in southern Utah, but they do. The ground dwelling part seems strange to me, but it sounds like they had beekeepers there and they said "bees".

    We've had such a warm winter here that honey bees were out looking for flowers in February. I was waxing my truck enjoying the sun and a bee landed on my shoulder. She looked tired and with no flowers to be found, I put out some water and honey for her. One bee would swing by, then she would go tell her friends and then I would have 4-5 bees eating honey out of the bed of my truck. They seemed happy.

    I'm sure the bees that attacked the old men were yellow jackets rather than honey bees, those yellow jackets are real sonaofbitches.

      I started a flower garden in the front of my house last year, lots of different variety, I can't name any of it, just picked out what looked nice. Anyway, I ended up seeing quiet a few bumblebees (rounder, looked fuzzier), and was ecstatic, and kept thinking "They like my flowers!".

      I don't know why.

      I love watching all the bees in my garden (especially since they help my vegetables grow) but bumblebees are the best. tiny fuzzy flying bears of the bee world.
