      This is the real problem in our country. We really need to get our shit together and bring back the sanitoriums and start treating these people. Instead of our current plan which seems to be pretending like the mentally ill are making an informed decision to refuse treatment.

    Uber gets a lot of shit when their drivers do anything wrong. Is anyone asking why someone with a history of mental illness and who presumably refuses to take meds is a licensed taxi driver?

      Nah, much more likely he declined blood products, which are, for the most part, strictly forbidden by Jehovah's Witnesses. Sometimes they'll spring for plasma if it's life threatening, but in my experience they almost always refuse packed red blood cells.
