So, lawyers, if she turned on the grill and then backed out of the pact, isn't it just plain ol' murder then, regardless of whether the sister was complicit (allegedly...)?

Not a lawyer. Just commenting to say: I hope not! If this really is true - the sisters had a pact and then one decided at the last second she didn't want to die - I can't imagine the emotional pain she must be going through. To have to deal with a murder investigation/court case on top of it would be traumatic. I would love for this story not to be a convoluted murder scheme. I hope she gets the help and support she needs.

Attempted suicide is an actual crime so they could charge her with that.

I know Jill and Wendy. They are/were terrific people. Please don't disparage them.

Could you possibly shed any light on this situation? What were they like and why do you think this happened?

I am too. She was most likely a caregiver to her sister and it just became too much of a burden for both of them. This is incredibly sad.

it's not sad if it's what the person truly wanted. So much of the stigma around suicide is that it's this bad thing that shouldn't be talked about, but if everyone who had seriously contemplated suicide actually spoke up about it instead of hiding it because it's so taboo, things would be a lot better.

For not killing herself? or for trying to kill herself to begin with? or because she produced for Jerry Springer?

There's a part of me that wonders if the deceased sister was aware of the "suicide pact".

Yeah, this sounds a little like murder-suicide, then backing out of the suicide part. Which is kind of just murder.

True but it's possible the one sister just wanted to die which is the angle which will be ignored. We have no idea what her quality of life was like. Might have been great, might have been terrible.

Maybe she begged her sister to end her suffering etc. Really tough to judge her based on a click bait title till all the facts come out.

I know when I think "Hollywood producer," I don't think Harvey Weinstein, I think, "some hack who did a couple of Sally Jessy Raphael episodes."

Somewhat shoddy choice of wording considering the sister was in a wheelchair and she wasn't to my understanding.

don't agree with it but someone will probably get upset somehow, they always do.
