    We can all take some comfort in the fact that the apartment is on E57th Street, as are all the apartments that were damaged. I have limited sympathy for people who live on E57th. Or W57th, for that matter.

    We can also spend a bit of time this morning trying to calculate the dollar figures tossed around in the lawsuits he is going to face given that all the damaged apartments are on E57th Street, and his apartment is on the 57th floor, and the story says the water damage extends all the way to the basement. People with lawyers who want to be reasonable in a case like this do not live on 57th Street.

      Well, they'll get reimbursed through their insurance, presumably. The other residents' insurance companies will seek reimbursement through his. How much his company will pay out willingly is a matter for debate.

      But yeah, he's probably getting sued by someone eventually.
