    I wish we could place a moratorium on Bruce Jenner transition stories until Bruce Jenner himself comes forward to either confirm or deny that he is transitioning. This shit is out of control.

    So a freelancer just straight made up an entire interview. Either Kendall Jenner or US Weekly is lying and somehow I think it's US Weekly.

      I don't understand why the reporter didn't have a recording device. Seems like that's standard practice now for a lot of journalists. We had to get one once we got into J school.

    Hmmm. It's strange how Us Weekly was so quick to retract this. I know nothing about publishing; should we read into this at all? Like, are stories that they don't issue retractions for actually legit?

      Us Weekly is unlike Star, National Enquirer, etc. in that they don't tend to publish false stories. This can make the magazine pretty boring for people who are into scandalous tabloid fodder, but it makes it my magazine of choice if I'm getting a pedicure or at a doctor's office.

      I suspect the number of stars this receives will perfectly correspond to the number of (current or former) journalism majors who read it :-)

      Though I always heard "check it out" as opposed to "check it twice."

    Well at least the freelance reporter has all the qualities needed to work for the Indianapolis Star. Greg Doyle and Bob Kravitz can mentor him on how to make up bullshit to push an agenda. If that fails, there's always TMZSPN.
