No one can say with absolute certainty that this is Putin's work, but I find it highly unlikely he wasn't involved. Clearly this guy is going off the rails. He's starting to look really dangerous.

Vladimir Putin is behaving with godlike impunity. Used to be you had to pretend you didn't clearly assassinate political opponents in broad daylight.

Couldn't have been Putin; he's been judged 'a man of peace'.

I thought this period was self-indulgent, but they really redeemed themselves with Beggars Banquet.

This does more damage to the reputation of white cars as getaway/molester/general crime vehicles than it does Putin. We all know he did it, but I can't say with certainty if that car was in fact, white.

It was obviously blue and black, anyone that says it was white and gold is a Putin stooge

      From Reuters:

"Putin condemned the killing and took the investigation under presidential command..."

And I'm sure assailants will be brought to justice.

Well, up until he went to prison, I'm sure OJ was still looking for the real killer.

I'm guessing people who have just embezzled $30 billion in a plutocracy/dictatorship without any accountability probably don't have too many qualms using a miniscule percentage of that to hire someone to silence those who attempt to call them out on it. At least leave the country first.

        outspoken opposition politician.

Not exactly a great career choice in Putin's Russia.

A political opponent of Putin was murdered? The only thing I'm surprised about is that he went the quick route by shooting him, instead of slowly killing him with radiation poisoning. Vlad the Bad.

Yeah, he's apparently dispensed with the cloak and dagger stuff and is resorting to straight up capping his opponents. Sends a hell of a message, I guess.

The more I think about it, the more unsure I am. Putin is definitely capable enough to do something like this. He showed that when he poisoned Litveninko in 2006, on UK soil. But is he dumb enough to assassinate the leader of his opposition party, right next to the Kremlin, and a day before this guy was supposed to lead a big rally? It just seems too obvious.

I'm thinking either this was Ukraine's doing, to cause political upheaval in Russia, or it was Putin, and he orchestrated it to look almost too obvious, just so that he could blame Ukraine. Putin is a crazy bastard that plays a brilliant game of diplomatic chess....

I'm really torn about what to think here. I mean, Vladimir is clearly a villainous name, but Boris is classic bad guy, too.
