      Well I can tell that the pattern is black but it is reflecting light giving the black a goldish brown hue. But it is black with light reflection.

    Here is another photograph of the dress in question (purportedly). This plainly appears to me to be black and blue; the photograph above, however, appears to me to be white—or very, very light blue—and gold.

    I think the sticking point here is the black vs. gold question. What I see as white is actually a very light blue, but to me it looks like a white dress under a bluish light or camera flash. When people say the trim is black and not gold, however, I feel like I'm being gaslighted.

      The "actual" dress is black and blue. The overexposed photo looks gold and white - I have seen versions of the photo that are clearly black and blue (actually the blue in the color-corrected, or rather exposure-corrected, version is more a periwinkle, while the actual dress is more a black with a royal blue - a rather hideous combo).

      When the page first loaded, it was white and gold, straight up. Then I scrolled to the bottom of the page and then back up, AND IT'S BLUE AND MOTHERFUCKING BLACK!!! NOW IT WON'T GO BACK TO WHITE AND GOLD AND I'M QUESTIONING EVERYTHING I'VE EVER KNOWN TO BE TRUE!!!
