I've sent tips in to Jez on a few occasions and, at least twice, have seen a post relating to that tip showing up on the site within a day or two. But I'm still gray as gray can be. So I kind of feel like what's in it for me?

Yes, I agree. If I'm not even allowed to participate the in the real conversation (and I've been hanging around here for a while now), then why would I bother sending tips?

NO ONE RESPONDED TO MY TIP ABOUT A GEORGIA STATE REPRESENTATIVE WHO WANTS GEORGIA TO TAKE THE LEAD ON MIXING HUMAN EMBRYOS WITH JELLYFISH DNA IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE CREATION OF DARK, GLOW IN THE DARK HUMANS. Caps necessary.

      HOLY SHIT.

But #correction. He wants Georgia to prohibit the mixing of human embryos with Jellyfish DNA to prevent the creation of a glow in the dark humans. Don't make him sound so crazy.

I didn't tip this one, but I'm just sharing it here for the lulz. A 15 year old high school girl in Quebec was strip searched by her principal under suspicion of possessing drugs (there were none) and Quebec's Education Minister said that was okay. Then a day later he said maybe it wasn't okay after it was pointed out to him that nobody thinks that's okay.

Apparently they have provincial government policy allowing this shit? Omg.

    Seriously.

My favorite part is how then the ONTARIO minister of education was like 'Yeah, no, we don't do that in Ontario. Just nope.'

In 4 years too! My professors told me that it was shocking that I got a classic liberal arts education at Hampshire in 4 years!

Of course Jez skews young, and that's awesome! It's a big reason why I love it.

But some of us are older, like over 45. We have a lot to offer on the subject of menopause, what it's like to be married a long time or get divorced after a long time. Also, what it's really like to deal with teens and college students and adult kids—from our point of view.

Also, other issues like dealing with one's own aging parents while simultaneously paying for college, saving for retirement, the joys of aging (and there are many joys if getting older).

If you would occasionally write stories on these topics, we commenters could give a lot of good ideas about all of these topics, which, in turn, would help prepare your main audience for aging.

Example: I recently wrote about periods and aging and a lot of people responded!

And on a completely different note, I would love regular stories on true crime involving women and the more history, the better!

Oh I would read those! I'm not really in that territory yet— 29, no kids— but I still find stories and tips from fellow womenfolk to be great!

Any possibility of Jez creating a college-focused blog? It seems like there are enough articles to populate it. Though now that I think about it, there would probably be too many articles about colleges not doing anything about sexual assault for people to stomach. Nevermind.

How about those of us who chose not to graduate and joined the workforce and make our own livings because having cash and not having any student debt left at age 30 is FUCKING BALLER.

Also, lots of us exist outside of New York...IJS.

I don't sing, but I thought this was my psych ward.

Did they let me out? Was that wise?

I guess I'll put on some pants and leave this subway station.
