She looks like she could be his own mother! Stealing money from underprivileged children is bad enough but damn homie...

I hope they put him under the jail.

The local media have been going nuts over this one. By every single account she was an absolute treasure of a woman who would do anything to help anyone. Fuck, based on what I've read, I wouldn't be surprised if she was going to report the theft and simultaneously ask for him to get counseling or something.

This asshole needs to fry for this.

This reminds me of that test to determine if your are a psychopath:

A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met a man who she did not know. She thought he was 'amazing'. She believed him to be her dream partner so much, that she fell in love with him right there, but never asked for his number and could not find him.

A few days later she killed her sister.

Question: What was her motive for killing her sister?

Pretty sure that just one of those old pop psych tidbits that's clever but not actually accurate.

Jesus Christ, what is a person's malfunction when this looks like a good answer? Not that I'm one to embezzle but hell, if the stark choice facing me was a certain five years or whatever for being a thief vs. the near certainty of getting caught for murder one and looking at 40 to life... Well, they say people deciding to kill usually aren't anywhere near a rational frame of mind. Yeah, I can see that.

For some inexplicable reason, taking the bus to the police station to report this guy just sounds...inappropriate somehow.

        a) She was going to work, taking her normal route as she had for years. That's how he knew where to find her.

        b) Inappropriate how? She lived in a major city. Taking public transit is often the smartest choice for getting around.

        c) The victim's mode of transport is what you're caught up on here? Really?

I think she's supposed to race through the streets like an action movie.

I hate saying this, but I'm glad he shot her from behind. At least she didn't have that split second of fear before her life was taken away from her. :/ Sad to see what seems like a very nice woman (working to help kids who probably desperately need outreach programs like the one she put together no less) being killed due to greed.

My mom has worked in the not profit world for as long as I've been alive and is just a bit older than the victim. Chilling story.

It's very sad; we need more people like her. What a selfish POS the murderer is.
