    Can I play #RupertsFault?

    * Getting sore knees from doing Stations of the Cross. #RupertsFault

    * Getting a piece of the Communion wafer stuck on the top of my mouth. And having to pry the Body of Christ off with my finger. #RupertsFault

    * Being stuck in the front pew as they burn the incense. #RupertsFault

    * Being stuck in the parking lot traffic after Mass. #RupertsFault

This. Minus the Body of Christ, it's all legit problems for Trad Catholic raised kids. And really, when it goes that far, it's almost a disappointment that the body of Christ isn't harassing you.

I am so in love with Aziz Ansari. I know Chris Pratt is everyone's Parks n Recs boyfriend but Aziz is mine. All mine. I also don't share.

#RupertsFault is also my new favorite hashtag and I plan on blaming his fucking ass for everything. I am going to start with the two periods I got this month and the giant zit on my nose. Thanks a lot Rupert! You dick.

I mean Chris Pratt is fucking hot IRL but why would anyone want his Parks and Rec character as a boyfriend? It's like dating your child.

        Team Ben all the way.

Speaking of his crazy network's BS... oh and did we all forget about his questionable ethics in journalism and the hell they put a murdered girls family through? I keep wishing we'd find something to sue him for in the States...

I was disappointed that the Leveson enquiry didn't find anything to make too much of a dent in his empire. Unfortunately he managed to hide behind his dubious "Er.... I'm just an old man and I just employ people who employ people, and they do what they do, and now you tell me it was illegal? I for one am SHOCKED!" defence. I mean, he was never actually going to go to prison. But at least a more direct link to the dubious bullshit all his publications and networks have all so coincidentally been up to could have created some sort of dent in his terrifying world controlling power.

Does anyone follow youtuber Natalie Tran on Twitter? I am beyond revolted at all the things she tweeted, the same way Murdoch did, and like a coward, she too started backtracking and even deleted a couple of awful tweets. It was borderline hate speech and I was very disappointed that such a popular vlogger whom I considered normal and I followed for 8 years, suddenly chose to speak out against muslims in the same way. It wasn't until she saw people's backlash that she started changing the tune and claiming she blamed ALL religions of extremism (please, she was tweeting only Muslim stories), but she legit implied the same things Murdoch did. That the problem is Islam and that Islam breeds terrorists, ignoring people tweeting her about their muslim friends and all the religious but sane people they know.

I was hoping someone here would cover this, the same way other awful vloggers get called out for their own problematic shit, because Jesus, this is just not the time to breed more intolerance and hatred. The world cannot keep separating itself like this. And I'm not religious by any means, but excercising your religions is a right. I've had it with this people.

Edited to add: would not be surprised if she deleted more awful tweets and it's too late to run a story, but she deserves to be called out because of her one billion views on youtube. That viewership is massive.

Rebecca, not directly related to this Murdoch shitshow, but have you seen THIS?!

      http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...

I've linked to the BBC article because there is officially the best comment I've ever seen in there, which acknowledges Birmingham's heavy metal history and also the sheer fucking idiocy of this Fox News cloaca:

"As someone born and raised in Birmingham, I must admit there was a pressure to read the Kerrang"

On a more serious note, I'm not a Brummie, but Birmingham is my city and it's hugely offensive to me that this wanker has stated it's "actually" a no-go zone for non-muslims. What's particularly egregious is that Birmingham's QE Hospital was where Malala was treated, and the people in the area have taken her to their hearts as an honorary Brummie.

Also, the suggestion that there are muslim fashion police beating up people whose clothing they deem offensive? Again, bullshit, and after what happened to poor Sophie Lancaster, making these kind of unfabricated allegations is sickening.

Thanks for pointing this out. #FoxNewsFacts was trending all evening due to that dumbass' ignorant comments about Birmingham so I was hoping to see it being covered here. What upsets me so much about that fucking idiot is that he sprouted off lies on air but then posted his lame apology online. The Fox News audience has already filed away his made up story as a FACT and will go spreading it around to like-minded crazies. I'm really looking forward to my xenophobic uncle telling me that "no go area" story with 100% certainty. *sigh* It really is #RupertsFault that our fringe crazies are no longer fringe but given a platform on national TV. It really is #RupertsFault for unleashing FoxNews on us and his fault that so many Americans have become so hateful and xenophobic.

I can promise your uncle that Birmingham is incredibly multicultural. I grew up in a village in the 70s and 80s and have great memories of getting the bus into town with my mum and seeing ladies in burkhas, Rastafarians, Nation of Islam preachers, goths, bible bashers and the occasional "gentleman dressed as a lady", all set to a background soundtrack of the steel band buskers and heavy metal in some of the shops.

I am not trying to paint a picture of the City through rose tinted spectacles - there was naturally a build up of tension which led to the Handsworth riots in the early 80s, and of course the City was (and remains) scarred by the IRA pub bombings. But the spirit of diversity still thrives and people will fight to maintain it - just see how many people turn out in opposition when the English Defence League stages one of their rallies.

My facebook feed this morning is full of locals absolutely outraged by this - so I think as well as issuing his online apology, he MUST do so live on Fox News. I'd be really interested to hear if they follow this up and will watch this space!
