"some participants were asked to read on an iPad for four hours each night before bedtime" Is that correct? Read for 4 hours before bed? Who does that and why would it need to be studied?

That struck me as an extreme way to angle the study as well.

They also had the screens at max brightness in a lit room for four hours. Which only psychotics do. The e-readers were required to read with the screen a foot or foot and half from their face on a stand and were not allowed to hold the devices. Book users could hold the books and keep them as far away as possible from their face. There also were no non readers in the study. It's as if this study was designed to fuck with your sleep.

Without the laptop that shares my bed, I'd have to get up. HA! Like that's gonna happen!

Plus laptops are kinda warm and nice to sleep next to. A heated blanket wouldn't be the same and another person just snores and steals the covers.

Well, so much for phone sex right before bed.
