There is a legendary rock band - still touring - fan base in the millions. Not as old as the Stones, but working their way there. That amazingly successful album release in the late 00's? The drummer was so fucked up throughout recording, the producer consulted the rest of the group, and all of his studio percussion was replaced with percussion software. Drummer still doesn't know.

And, no. I'm not telling, even if you guess correctly.

Has to be AC/DC, given Phil Rudd's recent legal troubles.

1.) Emma Stone's team was very worried about her during the last Spiderman press tour. She has intense anxiety and eating issues. I don't know if it's a full-blown eating disorder or how long it has been going on, but she recently sought help and has been recovering.

2.) Jake Gyllenhaal had a booty call with Minka Kelly. He was acting so erratic and was so sickly that she called his publicist in the middle of it to ask if he was okay.

3.) Alia Shawkat's career has stalled because she is very difficult to work with. She acts like a sarcastic, conceited hipster. She tends to make "ironic" jokes and then act as if the other person is unintelligent if they don't "get" it. She called Floria Sigismondi—the director of "The Runaways"— a bitch.

4.) Ellen Degeneres (used to? not sure if she does it anymore) adopt animals recklessly and then force/guilt her staff to take them. That whole Iggy debacle was just the tip of the ice berg. She is also very controlling and domineering in real life. Her relationship with Portia de Rossi is a little creepy because of PdR's eating disorder. It's like Ellen is always in control and PdR is always in the role of the sick patient.

5.) Jenji Kohan was a annoyed with Jodie Foster regarding Orange is The New Black. Jodie Foster was in talks to make a TV movie, so she decided to "practice" on a less-relevant show. They really only gave it to her because she's a big name. On the records JF said that she loved OITB as a book before directing, but she really just threw her name around to use it as practice.

    Music Industry Best/Worst List.

    BEST:

Alison Moyet (I will never get over it)

Darryl Hall (very professional, dry sense of humor, a gentleman)

Peter Erskine (became my other-dad in 5 minutes)

Carter Burwell (aloof, but there when needed without question, a genius)

Trent Reznor & Butch Vig - no more need be said

Jimmy Cliff (I smoked pot w/him for an hour on a shitty couch b4 I knew who he was. Right?)

Flea - Let's just say it's a pretty amazing evening with him.

Danny Elfman - Very private, very respectful, very interested.

Josiah Bell - probably my favorite artist as just the LOVLIEST MAN EVER. (Married to Jurnee Bell)

Jane Wiedlan - Your very best stranger-girlfriend in the bathroom. Carries mints & fresh-wipes.

Steve Perry - There are no words... love you, Steve... GO GIANTS!!

Basia - She smells like gardenias, and her speaking voice in just like her singing voice.

    WORST ASSHOLES EVER:

    Rick Springfield

    Huey Lewis

    Cee Lo

    David Cloverdale

    Siouxie

I'm sad about Huey and Siouxie. The others on that list seem obvious shoo-ins, though.

Me too. Siouxie is a pretty vicious needer - worse than Martha Stewart (and I've been around her, too), Huey - it made me sad, I always loved him - he's a tacky, disgusting, fanny-pinching, boob-grabber. Meeting him ruined my 80's, I tell 'ya.

That the Sony hack was led by Sabu and orchestrated by the FBI in order to make sure people stay terrified of North Korea. Sabu has already hacked Sony repeatedly, and he's been working with the FBI for years. It all makes sense and it would be easy for him, particularly with the resources of the US government behind him.

Her team is very messy. This happens all the time: New, promising talent who is scrappy and works her ass off. Surrounds herself with clingers and her friends, who have no idea how to do their jobs well. Starts believing her own hype. Exacerbation of already-existing mental issues with stress, drugs, and booze. And then a career flop. I've just never seen it on such a grand scale before.

Microsoft may be shelving, or repackaging the Xbox division. Initially the XBox One was designed to compete with and be a more robust in-home media system (think Roku, Chromecast, etc.) first and an actual video game console second. There were rumors abound earlier this year regarding this, and were apparently put to bed by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, but it was more for publicity to try and keep the consoles selling (No one wants to buy a product that isn't going to be supported in the future).

Apparently most of the Xbox team has already been gutted to better refocus on mobile. We're unlikely to see any future consoles from Microsoft, but instead get smaller and more mobile devices which could double as playing games. There is huge interest and focus right now on the idea of streaming games over a cloud based network - like the Sony Gaikai service, but far more robust.

All of this is an attempt by Microsoft to move towards one singular service which can be shared and used across multiple platforms. They really, really want you to be able to go from your Tablet, to Desktop (Bill Gates is still a massive supporter of the Desktop), to TV in a seamless transition. Coupled with a subscription based service to cover additional features.

Wow! Subscription based everything. So the same thing Microsoft tried 15 years ago, pre-XP? I guess customers are less hostile now to having subscription based services as applications and media(Spotify, Netflix, Adobe CC) so I could see MS attempting to bring back their subscription based OS idea.
