I actually wrote this graf first but then was told we could only write about one thing and now I'm NOT THANKFUL there was cheating. But I promise I'm thankful for more than sparkling water and Costco:

I am thankful for so much this year: Costco, LaCroix water, and especially the few weeks this summer that one Costco in Los Angeles stocked LaCroix water. I'm thankful Homeland is good again and that TLC continues to produce some of the most compelling trash on television. I'm thankful for the Burbank Airport, Chipotle, salt and vinegar chips, and shapewear that allows me to hide some of the indignities of rapid aging, binge eating, and a sedentary job. But mostly, I'm thankful for my friends, Friends, and family, especially my Gawker family. I get to work each day with the smartest, funniest, and most thoughtful idiots in the world. Life is good.

I totally get the Costco thing. Costco is great. I love going there — the kid will sample her way through the store, I get three pounds of coffee at a pump, and the workers are pulling down a living wage and health benefits. It's great!

Salt and vinegar chips rock! Truly something to be thankful for. When I tuck into them I feel like I am back home - good times! Whats your favorite brand of chips?

ok two things i'm thankful for:

    1) i'm not in jail ( in another country) yay to freedom, life, and the USA!!!

    2) i'm seriously appreciative to gawker. ive been an online lurker for half my life, but i only started commenting about 1.5 years ago. your tone, the content matter ( politics and viral videos), it really resonates. also, i appreciate the writers ( they actually email you back!) and of course, i appreciate, love and respect the commenteriat. i've never found a bunch of people online i respect and look up to as much as you guys. cheers! ( ps guys, its not "wasting time", it's "research")

    3) i hope you guys get to eat a lot of good home made food. ( my family does the restaurant thing)

I'm thankful that I get to spend my days reading, writing, researching, and teaching, and then I get to go out for dinner and drinks and conversation with friends. These activities pretty much constitute the only things I've ever really wanted to do in life. I'm really privileged.

So I'm gonna read and sip coffee and play with my dog before going to Friendsgiving today. It's pretty sweet.

I also want to say that I am very thankful for my wonderful friend and editor Lacey, who supplies all manner of excellent advice and unfailing support. (She also added my submission above because the original author—who will remain unnamed—forgot to include it.) You are so amazing, Lacey.

I'm thankful for the xbox one I just bought for $330 that included both Assassin's Creed: Unity and Dragon Age: Inquisition (haven't played the first two so suck it Kotaku). Now I just have to wait a week for the stupid piece of shit console to get here.

I'm thankful for my boyfriend who must have the best sense of humor in the world because I'm awful.

I'm thankful that maybe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ my parents will die next year.

I'm thankful that I have a roof over my head and money to pay for it. I'm thankful for my new job which is in a place I think is ok, but the people I work with are great. And it's easy and laid back and I can post shit on Gawker all day and no one seems to care.

    Everything else can die.

ETA: Thankful for big bellied elderkin. Mmmm

Here's how it will go. I will play it for like 400 hours and not come anywhere near completing it. Chances are, if there are different areas to unlock, they remained locked. I will quit caring when I can't get passed a certain boss. I'm a shitty gaymer.

I am thankful I was not the frontman for Creed, for many reasons.

Wasn't there a story (or maybe a video) about the frontman for Creed and Kid Rock throwing bologna onto naked women on a tour bus? I bet Scott Stapp wished he saved that bologna.

I am thankful for Gawker. I'm serious. I get a lot of enjoyment out of this site. I enjoy the writing and comments. I like the fact that it's anonymous and I don't have to pay. I say mean things about Gawker all the time, but if you took down the sites I would be sad.

If that wine is Boone's Farm, you're basically having the same Thanksgiving I did in 1986.

Your Thanksgiving, my Tuesday... and I prefer anything at the liquor store that is $12 or less. I don't even think we have Boones in Canada...

My husband and I talked about this late last night. I'm exhausted because I'm pregnant with our second baby and in the midst of an intensive grad program and I see a patient for 20 hours each week. But I don't take it for granted. I know I'm privileged to be in school, fortunate to be having a second healthy baby (we lost two before my now one year old daughter was born), and just overall grateful for my life. My husband has a job. Though we struggle to pay our mortgage, I've got a roof over my head. Our utilities are turned on. We have some food in our fridge. Our 30's look different than we had imagined - we've readjusted priorities and values. But even though life is harder, it's better.
