Good to know even the President of the United States isn't exempt from the teenage side-eye. It's like a parental rite of passage, or something.

It's no longer limited to teens. My 9 year-old-does it. I blame the hormones in chicken nuggets.

When he ran for president the first time it was painfully obvious that those girls RULE this dude at home since they were toddlers. It's like that with girls. I have a friend who is a major celeb with music retired in the Smithsonian. His daughter could care less that millions worship his music. She just wants a tattoo and thinks his millions of fans worldwide are crazy.

OMG I don't know whose face is more perfect!! You can just hear them like, "GUUUUUUH C'MON DAD!" "Ew" "THIS IS SO DUMB" "Whatever are we done already? Uncle Joe said he would let me practice driving his Camaro..."

This might be the cutest thing they've done since the 2008 campaign. :D

They also look like their mother took away their phones like .5 seconds beforehand. "NO INSTAGRAM WHILE YOUR DAD IS PARDONING THE GODDAMN TURKEY. I'VE HAD IT UP TO HERE WITH YOU."

The problem is that Obama is weak. He's weak on defense. He's weak on cutting the deficit. He's weak on shrinking the government. And he's weak on turkeys.

We need a real leader. We need Sarah Palin. She's the only person out there who is willing to take a strong anti-turkey stance.

if that was my dad I would be like, oh great another opportunity to act all happy as we watch the majority of the country slam you and one of the reasons is because of our race, but go along and play the game dad.

Agree with this one hundred percent. But man, whatever he and Mrs. Obama do to keep their cool/class with everything I hope they are teaching it their girls. Hell, I want to learn it too! All the hate, death threats, disrespect that is throw at him and his family would kind of destroy me. I really want to live long enough to see this man celebrated in history.

Somehow it is all the cuter because they look like they are actually trying not look like they hate being there (the patently fake smile to her dad when he turns her way for example) but being teenage girls they can't do it! Impossible!

And then 11 years after that, she will be pardoning her own turkeys.

haha, I have a fifteen year old stepson and an eleven year old biological son and both of them would have been texting Turkey meets knife + fork emoticons to their friends throughout that entire speech. Obama got off light with teen-face.

I realize this is not the point of the article but can I just mention that I am so happy to learn that the short dresses and chunky boots is still a thing that teenage girls do! It is pretty much the only thing I miss from my highschool years.
