Squirrl: A new electricity service that is disrupting the existing power grid paradigm by utilizing an "invitation-only" method of electrical transmission.

While still in the alpha stages, once the closed-beta rolls out, invited customers can expect to experience alternating current depending on what Squirrl they live closest too. This is an exciting new addition to the sharing economy.

      Perfect!

We can assume the 2,000 cut off customers weren't participating in the "disruption".

This is a good example of how connected we are across this vast country. On that same Saturday, fried squirrel fed 2,000 in the Arkansas Valley.

I was once meeting with the head of a large utility, talking about protecting the grid from criminal attack. He listened to me for a while, then said "Everything you've said is true. But since a squirrel can bring our whole system down, I have more immediate problems to address."
