    Guys, this happened in my childhood in the early 9os in Brooklyn (Bed Stuy, as matter of fact), where there was a very suspicious fire, and one of my schoolmates, K. Robinson, died when she tried to save her siblings, who also died. The only ones that survive the mom and the youngest boy. When I went to that service I thought the Earth would rip apart from the mom's anguished sobbing.

      It was quite possible the most horrible thing to bear witness to. When my man died I could deal with it somewhat because he had a rich and full life up to that time. These kids never got to grow up.

      Bed Stuy was and is a wonderful place, but it is HARD, man. It's hard.

        Pretty sure the fire in a Queens in the early summer was some sort of insurance scam. It was in the Bruson Building and the main tenant was one of those shady looking colleges you see advertised on the train. The college luckily was empty and already had a newer campus set up a few stops away. They are just now starting to clear the place out.
