Let's just get the obvious out of the way and say "this would've been more believable if she claimed she was simply a confused Methodist."

I will, in fact, be here all week.

After that, I'll be running around slashing people with a sword while wearing a black mask, hat, and short cape, and trying to convince the cops that it's part of my Zorroastrian heritage.

This pisses me off. My mom is Wiccan and we actually had a Samhain (Wiccan New Year) celebration this weekend. Although I personally am an Atheist, I really respect the religion of Wicca and the people that TRULY follow it and know about it. Wiccans don't believe in the Devil. They believe in a God and a Goddess. Their focus is on appreciating and respecting nature. They don't do "black magic". They also certainly don't do meth.

Wiccans already get a bad rap and there's a lot of misinformation about the religion. So fuck you, lady.

Been a practicing Wiccan for about 15 years. I hardly even drink... wouldn't recognize meth if it jumped up and bit me. I concur with MizzAnthropist- fuck that lady.

how do these seemingly routine traffic pull-overs reveal drugs so often? Like do these people wave them in the officers' faces? "I may have a broken taillight but let my distract you with this stash of illegal drugs that I have!"

Ok- they get pulled over, the ones who are guilty very often ACT guilty (in this case high) and bingo! Cause for search.

Then why weren't they charged with driving under the influence? They were probably profiled as meth heads and then busted for paraphernalia with residue on it.

Potarf told police she was a Wiccan and had a right to have the drugs.

Could she win under the Hobby Lobby ruling?

Corporations are people. By the transitive property, people are also corporations. Please let this result in an appellate case based on middle school math.

Non-lawyers attempting to talk about the law is hilarious.

Debating on whether I should send a link to this to my sister, who is Wiccan. I figure this would be her reaction...

Bryan Cranston did appear in Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. This could be how meth entered into the religion.

This went to the Supreme Court in the case of peyote. Of course, peyote shamanism has been around a lot longer than America, so they had a pretty good case for religious exemption from the drug laws of the state.
