      No. The best stoned idea since the Double Decker taco is the Oreo "Moreo" which is just Dunkaroos with Oreos. You have two columns of Oreo shells and a giant column of Oreo jizz in the middle.

      And the best stoned idea since that is the Pizza Pie Cake, which is just a shitload of pizzas stacked one on top of the other to make a cake.

      Actually, they might make sense for repositories of sensitive documents. We have a ton of paper lying around that we're legally obligated to keep, and keep private, but that nobody ever uses.

      I suggested this and also what our asian friend suggested. These facilities are remote, secure, and have complex and tough to beat enter and egress systems already in place. Storage for documents, weapons, old machinery, etc etc etc etc.

    Use them as ACTUAL mental institutions with a few modifications, then you could replace all the psychiatric care facilities that were shut down under Reagan. The ones that were shut down to fund the prisons which we don't need....

    Korea turned Seodaemun Prison, where the Japanese tortured Korean patriots during their occupation, into a pretty good museum with an unfortunate enthusiasm for dioramas. Maybe we can make our prisons museums to what a terrible idea the drug war was.

        Hamilton, I am genuinely confused. How is it that we hear of egregious prison overcrowding (cf. California) and yet there are prisons standing empty? I'm glad the prison population is dropping, but frankly I am surprised to hear that it is, based on all we read about the prison-industrial complex, privatizing prisons, and overcrowding. Can you clarify? I know this issue is an important one to you, as it is to me, and I just want to understand it all.
