Also the six year and eight month anniversary of Gawker jumping the snark.

Let's meet back here in January 2018. (We will both be unemployed so we will have time.)

i find that i see more people sharing gawker media posts ( gawker, jez, deadspin) on facebook than buzzfeed, huffpo, etc etc.

but the facebook comments underneath those GM posts are worse than the greyest grey on kinja.

I've heard there are only really around four people who read Gawker now.

I used to come here to find out who'd gotten the boot at my employer's media divisions before announcements were made at work. Now, I come here with my morning coffee wondering what fresh commentary Milton Berle's Cock has offered on a new Gawker post.

So, a step up? There's nobody left in the media division and you always found out anyway, but the voice of Milton Berle's cock can't be found anywhere else.

I dunno, there are some really top-notch penile mediums out there, nowadays.

Makes me nostalgic for searching AltaVista on my Netscape browser and checking my America Online account as soon as my phone finished dialing into the system.

I'm guessing this was a realistic foreshadowing. I gave up, (mostly) on Gawker because of Kinja. I mean what's the point if no one can see or read my comments; it's all about the comments. It's too bad really, I used to love this site.

Good god! Laurel Touby represents the old quirky boringness of ol' Manhattan. She was at the tail end in the transition of a Manhattan centric NY to a Brooklyn centric NY. But now how I long for those days... for Brooklyn has transformed into her feather boa, but made of locally sourced heritage breed blue ass bird
