"High on weed" is such a dubious phrase; also, it will never not be funny when people say that. It's like, "smoking drugs" or "reefer." Just kills me every time.

But in all seriousness, I hope Amanda Bynes is doing ok. I simply can't imagine going through my teens, 20s, and emotional breakdowns with an audience.

There is no way college kids said "high on weed". I just don't buy it.

TAYLOR SWIFT AND LORDE WERE ATTACKED BY SOME DISRESPECTFUL-ASS SQUIRRELS AT SHAKE SHACK.

All squirrels are disrespectful. All of them. Even if they're not openly being assholes, they're thinking about it behind their little beady eyes because disrespect festers in their rodent hearts. And, yes, I fully accept my squirrel bigotry.

I'm not gonna lie, I read it as "disrespectful ass-squirrels" and thought they were just really disrespectful people, and that ass-squirrel was a new name for obnoxious people. Can I start using it that way? "That guy was being a total ass-squirrel."

Fun Fact: My husband went to see Saves the Day play in 08'. Metro Station was the opening act (weird..but okay). All these youngster rushed the stage and really took to "Shake..Shake..Shake It" song. The two of us in back along with the "older crowd" looked at each other like "Oh god..We're old..what is this shit..wait are these lyrics happening?" After they were done with their set..out came Saves the Day. The place cleared of everyone under the age of 25 and us oldies were able to approach the stage for a nice intimate set.

I had this same exact experience when I attended this tour. I hated having to wait through Metro Station to see Saves the Day.

I used to irrationally hate on Anne, then one day I decided to stop. I can now say with pride that I no longer hate Anne Hathaway and will continue to support her clothing choices and haircut however heinous they are.

I frequently irrationally hate people, and then everyone starts irrationally hating them and I'm like "Oh, man, is that how I look? Ugh" and then I stop.

I decided to support Anne too. Mainly because so many little girls I know love her in Ella Enchanted and Princess Diaries - she is funny and smart and influencing an entire generation rather positively. I can forgive the over eagerness of 'most likely to succeed' pressure she gives off. And the sometimes strange wardrobe choices as you say. Mostly she is a good egg I think. And she surprised me as Catwoman. I thought she'd be awful. She did pretty well. She is no Pfeiffer but quite frankly, who is?

Jaden Smith released a song. It is 7 minutes long but lasts an eternity on a spiritual level. It is about meeting a girl at Coachella, as all the great love songs are.

As long as HE doesn't sing about whipping anything back and forth, everything will be good.

No. It isn't okay. Curiosity got the best of me and I listened... for about a minute. It is so bad. I mean, we all knew it would be, right? But it's just a bit worse than that.

Well, I only made it three minutes into the song before I shuddered and closed the tab. I think I preferred Willow's hair whipping.

    • James Franco says he is shy around women. This means you're going to have to make the first move, ladies (unless you are a teenager on Instagram). [ONTD]

Right, so after I make a move on him, he can write shitty essays/poems/whatever about how he actually doesn't want me but he feels sorry for me. Yeah, right, James Franco, keep looking, THIS GIRL is not interested in you. *too fabulous*

I took an undergrad creative writing class at one of the schools James Franco attended, while he was there. One of the girls in the class wrote a short story about losing her virginity to an unidentified famous actor getting a grad degree at the school. It wasn't half bad, but it was kind of funny trying to workshop it without saying Franco. Knowing what I know now, I wonder if there was truth to it or if she was trolling.

Wait, fashion school is a real thing? I thought that was a made up thing, like going to the hospital for "exhaustion" or being a handbag designer.

Nope, really real thing. One of my cousins went to fashion school and does...something sciency and technical with textiles. Really really sciency and technical, so I think she went after college and did something....probably chemical? first. We don't speak much.

I was fairly ambivalent leaning towards disliking Anne Hathaway, but this interview is totally endearing.

And hey! She doesn't give a shit about this comment, which is awesome! And something I would probably never be able to do if I were famous, so serious props to her.

I never really understood the hate. Like, what did she ever do to anyone? I didn't realize seeming socially awkward and trying too hard were tremendous human rights violations. No one has to be a fan, but all the vitriol leveled at her for a while felt so unnecessary. I'm glad she seems to have such confidence and healthy DGAF levels.

I agree. I got sort of caught up in the hate, and I did find her annoying and pretentious. But those aren't reasons to hate someone, especially as I'm sure some of it came from a place of awkwardness.

That's not really what I'm saying? I'm trying to point out that it's a pretty traditional journey to take in your 20s, whether you're crazy famous or not.
