You what other factor keeps women in abusive relationships? Financially instability. You know who abortion restrictions hurt the most? The poor. You are so 100% fucked if you are poor, and there is a whole political party that exists to punish you for it.

RBG was making this point in Erin's piece earlier today - this is all about fucking over poor people, esp poor women. Plain and simple.

This is upsetting to me and I would imagine most pro-choice people. The thing that really bugs me though is that the people restricting abortion access do not care at all about women being stuck with abusive men. They opposed the violence against women's renewal (seriously, WTF guys) and they think domestic violence is a private matter. Their concern is not with the woman's health or safety at any point.

It all goes back to the "wives submit to your husbands" bullshit. Consent is a foreign concept.

Let's call it what it is: they WANT women to get hurt. They want women to be punished for having sex. Let's not entertain their false claims that they give a damn.

I think for most pro-liars, it's a desired outcome - not necessarily that the slutty baby-killing whore be in an abusive relationship, but that she at least stops being a slutty whore by being with a man - any man - who may feel obligated to marry her because of the Precious Preborn Poppetâ„¢ and poof! Morality is restored!

The religious right might as well just say it— they give zero fucks about women.

NO, they give quite a few fucks about women. They'd have to, to so consistently keep fighting to treat them like shit.

It couldn't be more obvious that the GOP and their mouthpieces are a hate movement.
