    Should I buy a foam mattress from Amazon? I'm not looking to purchase my forever mattress. I don't mind if it becomes useless after a couple years as long as it's cheap.

    Possibly relevant info:
    - I change my sheets once a week
    - I sleep like the dead
    - My primary sleeping position is supine, like I'm in a coffin
    - I have Prime and it's not a big deal to me it's just part of my luxurious lifestyle

    Why does Hamilton Nolan still have a job?

    His articles are poorly written, sarcastic jealous nonsense. Whether his writing is directed to why rich people suck and should give all their money away, or to his irrational spite towards Vice, I cringe when I see his name in the Gawker front page.

    Not so much a question as a thank you.

    My twenty-five year old daughter clued me into Gawker some months ago. It's been an amusing website to follow along with her and comment about to each other via text, emails, & phone calls. We also enjoy reading each other's comments on here.

    After you changed your commenting policy, we started a friendly competition to see who could get followed by Gawker first. We also tease each other about the number of likes we get in a week and calculate who has the highest average number of likes per comment for the week. (She gave me bonus points this week for number of likes because some guy name Max Read liked one of my comments. Sorry. Not really sure who he is.)

    Our game may sound silly (and probably is) to many but it's been a nice way to connect with my daughter who's now grown and gone, living a thousand miles away. I met her dad when she was five years old and to think that she's now 25 years old is just mind boggling. Being a step-parent, and a gay one at that, wasn't always easy but we worked really hard to forge a loving, family relationship. I couldn't love and miss her more if she were my own biological child. Our Gawker game has been a nice way to stay anchored as she's moved onto her adult life where a parent really isn't needed all that much anymore.

    I think Gawker is following her but she won't admit it. I suspect she's afraid that will bring an end to the game since the goal was to see who could get followed first. I'll always think fondly of Gawker since it served to help nurture a new phase of our parent-child relationship.

    Has Gawker (or Gawker Media) ever considered hiring someone whose job is to review greyed-out commenters and recommend folks for promotion? Because it seems like there are a lot of good comments languishing the in greys these days, and I don't blame you guys for that — you can't spend all your time perusing the comments when you've got posts to get published. They don't pay you enough. :-)

    I've been posting on Gawker for a few years now, and the revamp of the comments system just ruined me. I don't get out of the greys at all, and my comments used to get lots of recommendations. Can someone please get me followed by Gawker? And maybe Jalopnik while you're at it?

    As part compensation, I promise in front of the commentariat not to expose my secret recipe for scrambled eggs.
