      But it lets us smug Northerns feel superior. We can use "Joliet is the Florida of Illinois" line, which varieties of this line is quite popular on this site. If I had to measure how much land in the north or west is labeled the Florida of a given state, the area would greatly exceed the land mass of the entire South.

      During my years of working at a book store, I became entranced by the true crime section. A co-worker and I would sort the shipment twice a week and when these books would arrive, I would always look at the pictures of the killers to make sure if in the event that I would come across a psychopath-BAM! I would be able to see "that look" in their eyes. But really, If Ann Rule can work with a serial killer, there's no hope.
